Some people like being able to type in levels, while others like the picker version. Since iOS's picker is much smoother, I've transitioned the Android one to a textbox, however, since then, some users have said they prefer the dropdown.

The text box is more useful to players on unofficial servers where levels can be much higher than 120 (and requires a lot of scrolling).
