I honestly think a dark that uses the hex codes: #0A0A0D, #28282B, and #FFFFFF for text would be great on the eyes.
Maybe in settings there could be a color wheel so you can personalize the app? This would be only available to the paid version, which means people who paid for the full app can have more features which makes it more valuable.

This is coming in v2 of the app. Didn't think it would be easy to do, but I ran into a required design change that made it very easy! :)

Thanks for the idea! People have suggested Night mode. It'd be quite a bit of an undertaking since it'd require a lot of redesign to support alternative colors, but maybe in the future! We'll see how many people would like this feature. :)

Evan M: Yeah, it uses a pseudo-CSS implementation that's actually Javascript but looks and feels like CSS.
But there are still dozens of colors throughout the app -- like purples, lime greens, and red/green that were all carefully selected to work with Dododex's green. I'd have to adjust them all to make sure they work with other colors, and define a bunch of color pallets.
It's definitely doable, and not that technically challenging, just a lot of time-consuming work to recolor and test all the features and states of the app. Since I'm a one-person team, I try to focus on features that give people more value, since there are quite a few. Haha.
