Or are you suggesting that all "IRL times" throughout the app (for example, 4:30PM) would tell you the corresponding in-game time?

Yes, all IRL times indicated in in-game days/hours. For example, if I start a long tame in the morning, it will be useful to know the number of evenings in-game I might have to prepare for.
